Ski transfer Zurich Airport → St. Moritz for skiers

You land at Zurich Airport (ZRH) and want to head straight to the St. Moritz ski area in the Upper Engadin with your skis, snowboard and the whole group – no changing trains in Chur, no dragging luggage along the platform and no connecting train. SWIVON picks you up with all your gear at the terminal and takes you door to door right to your hotel, chalet or directly to the valley station. For ski equipment we use spacious vehicles exclusively: Mercedes Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer and coach.

Unlike a general city transfer, this journey is geared entirely towards winter sports. If you are instead looking for a prestigious limousine ride, you will find details on our page about the general transfer Zurich – St. Moritz.

Our vehicles for the ski transfer to St. Moritz

Skis and snowboards do not fit into an E-Class or S-Class. For winter sports we therefore rely exclusively on vans and buses with genuine storage space.

Mercedes Sprinter – up to 20 people with equipment

The Mercedes Sprinter offers plenty of room for passengers, skis, boards and luggage in a single vehicle. Winter-ready with all-wheel drive and winter tyres – the first choice for families and smaller ski groups heading into the Engadin.

Sprinter with trailer – when the bus is fully occupied

If you are travelling at full capacity, we hitch up a trailer: that way all the ski equipment stays safely and dryly stowed, while every seat inside remains free for your group.

Coach with trailer – for large groups, ski schools & clubs

For large groups we organise coaches (up to 30 / up to 50 people): the luggage travels in the underfloor compartment, with plenty of equipment additionally in a trailer. If you would rather hire a coach with a chauffeur yourself, we provide the right vehicle. For medium-sized groups, a Sprinter or minibus for up to 20 people is also suitable.

No limousines: For ski transfers we drive exclusively Sprinters, Sprinters with trailer and coaches – so that skis, boards and luggage are guaranteed to come along.

Ski luggage & equipment

We carry skis, snowboards, boots, helmets and poles free of charge. When you make your enquiry, simply tell us how many pairs of skis or boards you are bringing and whether you have any bulky equipment with you – then we choose a Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer or coach so that everything is safely stowed. We are of course happy to help with loading at the terminal.

Groups, ski schools & clubs

Ski clubs, ski schools, corporate outings and large chalet parties are in good hands with us. From the Sprinter for the family to the coach for up to 50 people, your group stays together, the luggage travels in the same convoy, and you arrive in the ski area as one. Tell us the number of people, the equipment, the date and the pick-up points – we will plan the ski transfer.

Winter roads, snow chains & safety

The route into the Upper Engadin runs over the Julier Pass, which is open all year round and continuously cleared in winter. Even so, the pass road can be demanding. Our vehicles are winter-ready (all-wheel drive / 4MATIC, winter tyres), with snow chains if needed, and our chauffeurs know the route and the weather conditions. When required, we use the Vereina car-carrying train (Klosters–Sagliains) as an alternative. The agreed price stays fixed – even with snow, traffic jams or diversions there is no winter surcharge.

How your ski transfer works

  1. Send an enquiry: state the ski area, number of people, amount of equipment, date and addresses.
  2. You receive an offer with the right vehicle (Sprinter / Sprinter with trailer / coach) and the details of your chauffeur.
  3. The chauffeur greets you at the airport, helps load the equipment and takes you right to your accommodation or to the valley station.

Route & travel time from Zurich Airport

The distance is around 200 km and the pure driving time is about 2 hours 40 minutes. The route runs along the A3 beside Lake Walen, continues on the A13 through the Rhine Valley towards Chur, then over Tiefencastel and up the Julier Pass – open year round – into the Upper Engadin to St. Moritz. In wintry conditions we use the Vereina car-carrying train between Klosters and Sagliains when needed. In peak season and at weekends we build in a time buffer so that you reach the slopes on schedule.

Meet & Greet, flight tracking & waiting time – around the clock

We track your flight in real time and adjust the pick-up time automatically. On this longer route to the ski area, a personal welcome is included: the chauffeur awaits you with a name sign in the arrivals hall, helps with your luggage and equipment, and accompanies you to the vehicle. A generous waiting time is included, and our service is available 24/7.

The St. Moritz ski area

St. Moritz in the Upper Engadin is one of the most renowned winter sports regions in the Alps: the Corviglia (around 155 kilometres of pistes directly above St. Moritz), Corvatsch/Furtschellas (around 120 kilometres) and Diavolezza and Lagalb (around 35 kilometres) ski areas together make up some 350 kilometres of pistes for skiing and snowboarding. The highest point is the Corvatsch at 3,303 metres; on the Corvatsch and the Diavolezza, glaciers with the famous Morteratsch descent ensure a long season and snow-sure slopes. The season runs roughly from late November to early May. We take you directly to the right valley station in St. Moritz, Silvaplana/Surlej or Pontresina.

Return journey: St. Moritz → Zurich Airport

We are your partner for the return trip too. We pick you up with all your gear in front of your hotel, chalet or at the valley station and bring you to Zurich Airport (ZRH) in good time. The return journey is made with the same spacious type of vehicle – Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer or coach – and with a time buffer for the Julier Pass, so that you catch your flight relaxed.
