Ski transfer Zurich Airport → Brandnertal for skiers
You land at Zurich Airport (ZRH) and want to head straight to Brandnertal, to Brand and Bürserberg, with your skis, snowboard and the whole group, without changing trains in Bludenz, without lugging luggage around the station and without a connecting bus. SWIVON picks you up with all your equipment at the terminal and takes you across the border into Vorarlberg, door to door, right to your hotel, chalet or directly to the valley station. For ski equipment we use spacious vehicles: Mercedes V-Class with trailer, Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer and coach.
Unlike a general city transfer, this journey is geared entirely towards winter sports, with room for all your equipment and a chauffeur who knows the route across the border into Brandnertal.
Our vehicles for the ski transfer to Brandnertal
Skis and snowboards do not belong in the boot of an E- or S-Class. For winter sports we therefore drive vehicles with genuine storage space – the equipment travels in the trailer or the luggage compartment.
Mercedes V-Class with trailer – up to 7 people
For families and small groups of up to seven people. The V-Class comes with all-wheel drive (4MATIC) and winter tyres; skis, boards and luggage travel in the trailer – and the trailer is included in the price. That keeps the interior clear, so you sit in comfort the whole way.
Mercedes Sprinter – up to 20 people
The Mercedes Sprinter seats up to 20 passengers and is winter-ready with winter tyres, making it the first choice for families and smaller ski groups heading to family-friendly Brandnertal. With smaller groups the equipment travels in the luggage compartment; at full capacity we hitch up a trailer.
Sprinter with trailer – when the bus is fully booked
When you travel at full capacity, we attach a trailer: that way all your ski equipment stays safely and dryly stowed, while every seat inside remains free for your group.
Coach with trailer – for large groups, ski schools & clubs
For large groups we organise coaches (up to 30 / up to 50 people): the luggage travels in the underfloor compartment, and with a lot of equipment additionally in the trailer. If you would rather hire a Coach with chauffeur Yourself, we provide the right vehicle. For medium-sized groups, a Sprinter or minibus for up to 20 people Is also suitable.
The equipment travels with you: For ski transfers we drive the V-Class with trailer, Sprinters, Sprinters with trailer and coaches. We do not use the E- or S-Class – there is simply no room for skis and boards.
Ski luggage & equipment
We carry skis, snowboards, boots, helmets and poles free of charge. Simply tell us when you enquire how many pairs of skis or boards you are bringing and whether you have any bulky equipment with you, then we choose the Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer or coach so that everything is safely stowed. We are of course happy to help with loading at the terminal.
Groups, ski schools & clubs
Ski clubs, ski schools, company outings and large chalet parties are in good hands with us. From the Sprinter for the family to the coach for up to 50 people, your group stays together, the luggage travels in the same convoy, and you arrive in Brandnertal as one. Just tell us the number of people, the equipment, the date and the pick-up points, and we will plan the ski transfer.
Winter roads, snow chains & safety
The mountain road from Bludenz up over Bürserberg to Brand can be demanding in winter. Our vehicles are winter-ready (winter tyres), with snow chains where needed, and our chauffeurs know the route, the border crossing into Vorarlberg and the weather conditions. We cover the Austrian vignette and any road tolls; both are included in the fixed price. The agreed price stays fixed: even with snow, traffic jams or diversions there is no winter surcharge.
How your ski transfer works
- Send an enquiry: state the ski area, number of people, amount of equipment, date and addresses.
- You receive an offer with the right vehicle (Sprinter / Sprinter with trailer / coach) and your chauffeur’s details.
- The chauffeur meets you at the airport, helps load the equipment and takes you right to your accommodation or to the valley station.
Route & travel time from Zurich Airport
The distance is around 163 km and the pure travel time is about 2 hours 5 minutes. This applies to the Sprinter and the coach. The route runs along the A1 towards St. Gallen, continues on the A13 through the Rhine Valley and across the border into Vorarlberg onto the A14 to the Bludenz exit, and from there up the mountain road over Bürserberg to Brand. During peak season and at weekends we build in a time buffer so that you reach the slopes on time.

On this longer route to the ski area, a personal welcome is included: the chauffeur awaits you with a name sign in the arrivals hall, helps with the luggage and equipment, and accompanies you to the vehicle. The Brandnertal ski area
Brandnertal in Vorarlberg is a family-friendly ski area between the villages of Brand and Bürserberg near Bludenz: around 60 kilometres of pistes and 13 lifts and cableways open up the area between 904 and 2,000 metres in altitude, plus freeride, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and winter hiking. From the valley stations in Brand (Dorfbahn and Palüdbahn) as well as the Panoramabahn, which connects the two sectors of Brand and Bürserberg, you head straight into the ski area. The season runs roughly from early December to mid-April. We take you directly to the right valley station in Brand or Bürserberg.
Return journey: Brandnertal → Zurich Airport
We are also your partner for the return journey. We pick you up with all your equipment outside your hotel, chalet or at the valley station and get you to Zurich Airport (ZRH) in good time. The return journey is made with the same spacious type of vehicle, Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer or coach, and with a time buffer for the mountain road and the border crossing, so that you catch your flight in a relaxed manner.
