Ski transfer Zurich Airport → Hochzeiger (Pitztal) for skiers
You land at Zurich Airport (ZRH) and want to head straight to the Hochzeiger ski area in the Pitztal with your skis, snowboard and the whole group – without changing in Imst, without dragging luggage along the platform and without a connecting bus into the valley. SWIVON picks you up together with your equipment at the terminal and takes you door to door right to your hotel, chalet or apartment in Jerzens, or directly to the valley station of the Hochzeigerbahn. For ski equipment we use exclusively spacious vehicles: Mercedes Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer and coach.
Unlike a general city transfer, this journey is geared entirely towards winter sports. If you would rather have a spacious vehicle with a chauffeur driven for you, you will find suitable options on our page about hiring a coach with chauffeur.
Our vehicles for the ski transfer to the Hochzeiger
Skis and snowboards do not fit in an E- or S-Class. For winter sports we therefore rely exclusively on vans and buses with genuine storage space.
Mercedes Sprinter – up to 20 people with equipment
The Mercedes Sprinter offers plenty of room for passengers, skis, boards and luggage in a single vehicle. Winter-ready with all-wheel drive and winter tyres – the first choice for families and smaller ski groups heading into the Pitztal.
Sprinter with trailer – when the bus is fully occupied
If you travel at full capacity, we hitch up a trailer: that way all of your ski equipment stays securely and dryly stowed, while every seat inside remains free for your group.
Coach with trailer – for large groups, ski schools & clubs
For large groups we organise coaches (up to 30 / up to 50 people): the luggage travels in the underfloor compartment, and with plenty of equipment additionally in a trailer. If you would rather hire a coach with chauffeur yourself, we provide the right vehicle. For medium-sized groups, a Sprinter or minibus for up to 20 people is also suitable.
No limousines: for ski transfers we drive exclusively Sprinters, Sprinters with trailer and coaches – so that skis, boards and luggage are guaranteed to come along.
Ski luggage & equipment
We transport skis, snowboards, boots, helmets and poles free of charge. When you make your enquiry, simply tell us how many pairs of skis or boards you are bringing and whether you have any bulky equipment with you – then we choose the Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer or coach so that everything is safely stowed. Of course we help with loading at the terminal.
Groups, ski schools & clubs
Ski clubs, ski schools, company outings and large chalet parties are in the right place with us. From the Sprinter for the family to the coach for up to 50 people, your group stays together, the luggage travels in the same convoy, and you arrive at the ski area all together. Tell us the number of people, the equipment, the date and the pick-up points – and we plan the ski transfer.
Winter roads, snow chains & safety
The journey runs via the Arlberg route and, after crossing the border into Tirol, through the Inn Valley from Imst up into the Pitztal to Jerzens – a mountain road that can be demanding in winter. Our vehicles are winter-ready (all-wheel drive/4MATIC, winter tyres), with snow chains when required, and our chauffeurs know the route and the weather conditions. The agreed price stays fixed – even with snow, traffic jams or diversions there is no winter surcharge.
How your ski transfer works
- Send your enquiry: state the ski area, number of people, amount of equipment, date and addresses.
- You receive a quote with the right vehicle (Sprinter / Sprinter with trailer / coach) and your chauffeur’s details.
- The chauffeur greets you at the airport, helps load the equipment and takes you right to your accommodation or to the valley station.
Route & travel time from Zurich Airport
The distance is around 250 km, and the pure driving time is about 3 hours. The route runs via the A1 towards Vorarlberg, on via the Arlberg route and, after crossing the border into Tirol, through the Inn Valley (A12) to the Imst-Pitztal exit. From there it is a further 15 km or so via Arzl and Wenns up to Jerzens to the valley station of the Hochzeigerbahn. During the peak season and at weekends we build in time buffers so that you are at the slopes on time.
Meet & Greet, flight tracking & waiting time – around the clock
We track your flight in real time and adjust the pick-up time automatically. On this longer journey to the ski area the personal welcome is included: the chauffeur awaits you with a name sign in the arrivals hall, helps with your luggage and equipment and accompanies you to the vehicle. A generous waiting time is included, and our service is available 24/7.
The Hochzeiger ski area
The Hochzeiger in the Pitztal is the sunny family ski area at the entrance to the valley: from the valley station of the Hochzeigerbahn in Jerzens (around 1,450 m), the 8-seater gondola takes you up to about 2,500 m. Nine lifts open up around 54 kilometres of pistes in all levels of difficulty, plus a 6 km toboggan run, a snow park and child-friendly practice areas. Over 90% of the pistes lie above 2,000 m, and the season runs roughly from the beginning of December to the end of April. We take you directly to the valley station in Jerzens or right to your accommodation in the Pitztal.
Return journey: Hochzeiger (Pitztal) → Zurich Airport
We are your partner for the return journey too. We pick you up together with your equipment outside your hotel, chalet or at the valley station of the Hochzeigerbahn in Jerzens and take you to Zurich Airport (ZRH) in good time. The return journey is made with the same spacious type of vehicle – Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer or coach – and with a time buffer for the mountain road and the Arlberg route, so that you reach your flight relaxed.
