Ski transfer Zurich Airport → Saas-Fee (Parkhaus Saas-Fee) for skiers
You land at Zurich Airport (ZRH) and want to head straight to the Saas-Fee glacier ski area in the Saas Valley with your skis, snowboard and the whole group – without changing trains in Visp, without lugging your luggage along the platform and without taking the post bus up the mountain. SWIVON picks you up with all your equipment at the terminal and brings you door to door right to the Parkhaus Saas-Fee, the car-free entrance to the village. For ski equipment we use exclusively spacious vehicles: Mercedes Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer and coach.
Unlike a general city transfer, this journey is entirely geared towards winter sports: plenty of room for equipment, winter-ready vehicles and chauffeurs who know the Saas Valley and its weather conditions.
Our vehicles for the ski transfer to Saas-Fee
Skis and snowboards do not fit into an E-Class or S-Class. For winter sports we therefore rely exclusively on vans and buses with genuine storage space.
Mercedes Sprinter – up to 20 people with equipment
The Mercedes Sprinter offers plenty of room for passengers, skis, boards and luggage in a single vehicle. Winter-ready with all-wheel drive and winter tyres – the first choice for families and smaller ski groups heading to the Saas Valley in Valais.
Sprinter with trailer – when the bus is fully booked
If you are travelling at full capacity, we hitch up a trailer: this keeps all your ski equipment safely and dryly stowed, while inside every seat stays free for your group.
Coach with trailer – for large groups, ski schools & clubs
For large groups we arrange coaches (up to 30 / up to 50 people): the luggage travels in the underfloor compartment, and with plenty of equipment additionally in the trailer. If you would rather hire a coach with a chauffeur yourself, we provide the right vehicle. For medium-sized groups a Sprinter or minibus for up to 20 people is also suitable.
No limousines: For ski transfers we drive exclusively Sprinters, Sprinters with trailer and coaches – so that skis, boards and luggage are guaranteed to come along.
Ski luggage & equipment
We carry skis, snowboards, boots, helmets and poles free of charge. When you make your enquiry, simply tell us how many pairs of skis or boards you are bringing and whether you have any bulky equipment with you – then we choose a Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer or coach so that everything is safely stowed. Of course we help with loading at the terminal.
Groups, ski schools & clubs
Ski clubs, ski schools, company outings and large chalet parties are in the right place with us. From the Sprinter for the family to the coach for up to 50 people, your group stays together, the luggage travels in the same convoy, and you arrive at the Parkhaus Saas-Fee as one. Just let us know the number of people, the equipment, the date and the pick-up points – and we will plan the ski transfer.
Winter roads, snow chains & safety
The long journey through Valais and the final stretch up the Saas Valley to Saas-Fee can be demanding in winter. Our vehicles are winter-ready (all-wheel drive/4MATIC, winter tyres), with snow chains where needed, and our chauffeurs know the route and the weather conditions. Important: the high passes (Furka, Grimsel, Susten) are closed in winter – we therefore travel via Bern and the Rhône Valley. The agreed price stays fixed – even with snow, traffic jams or diversions there is no winter surcharge.
How your ski transfer works
- Send your enquiry: state the ski area, number of people, amount of equipment, date and addresses.
- You receive a quote with the right vehicle (Sprinter / Sprinter with trailer / coach) and your chauffeur’s details.
- The chauffeur meets you at the airport, helps load the equipment and brings you to the Parkhaus Saas-Fee.
Route & travel time from Zurich Airport
The distance to Saas-Fee is around 230 km, and the pure travel time is about 3 hours 15 minutes. As the high passes (Furka, Grimsel, Susten) are closed in winter, the route runs along the A1 towards Bern, on via Fribourg and along Lake Geneva past Vevey and Montreux, then up the Rhône Valley through Valais (A9) via Martigny, Sion and Sierre to Visp, and from there up the Saas Valley to the Parkhaus Saas-Fee. During peak season and at weekends we build in a time buffer so that you reach the slopes on schedule.
Meet & Greet, flight tracking & waiting time – around the clock
We track your flight in real time and adjust the pick-up time automatically. On this long route to the ski area, a personal welcome is included: the chauffeur awaits you with a name sign in the arrivals hall, helps with your luggage and equipment and accompanies you to the vehicle. A generous waiting time is included, and our service is available 24/7.
The Saas-Fee ski area
Saas-Fee, the “Pearl of the Alps” in the Saas Valley, promotes itself as the “Free Holiday Republic” and is one of the most snow-sure glacier ski areas in Switzerland: around 150 kilometres of pistes open up the area, climbing high up onto the Feegletscher below the Allalinhorn and the Dom. At 3,500 metres, the revolving restaurant Allalin reigns as the highest revolving restaurant in the world, reachable by the Metro Alpin, the highest underground funicular in the world. Thanks to its glacier setting, skiing is possible in Saas-Fee almost all year round – the winter season runs roughly from late November well into spring, and skiing on the glacier is possible in summer and autumn. As Saas-Fee is car-free, we bring you to the Parkhaus Saas-Fee at the village entrance; from there you take a short walk into the village, use an electric local taxi or the hotel shuttle, which we arrange in advance on request.
Return journey: Saas-Fee → Zurich Airport
We are your partner for the return trip too. We pick you up with all your equipment at the Parkhaus Saas-Fee as soon as you have arrived from the car-free village at the village entrance, and bring you to Zurich Airport (ZRH) in good time. The return journey uses the same spacious type of vehicle – Sprinter, Sprinter with trailer or coach – and the same winter route through the Rhône Valley with a time buffer, so that you reach your flight in a relaxed manner.
